What is a REMAC, and does it change my requirements?

A Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee. New York certifies EMS providers but does not authorise ALS practice — eighteen regional councils do that, each setting its own hours and term. How does EZ Recert track my CME hours?

You upload a completion certificate, or forward it from your inbox — every provider gets their own forwarding address. EZ Recert reads the course, date and hours off it, splits them across the categories your level is held to, and puts the claim in front of your agency admin to approve.

Can I use EZ Recert if I'm not on an agency's roster?

Yes. Agency rosters are invited in by their CME coordinator, but if you're recertifying on your own, tell us through the contact form and we'll get you set up individually.

Is EZ Recert affiliated with the New York State Department of Health?

No. EZ Recert is not affiliated with or endorsed by NYS DOH. The hour and category figures on this page are transcribed from the state’s own published forms (DOH-5295, DOH-5065, DOH-5067, DOH-4231) and checked against each form’s printed totals, but forms are revised from time to time — confirm the current numbers with your REMAC or the DOH before relying on them for your own recertification.
